Fast 5 Movie Release

Well, tonight marked the release of the 5th Fast & Furious movie.  With how popular the franchise has gotten, it wasn't a surprise when local shop, MAPerformance, and NOS Energy Drink got together to throw a little show before the movie.  Hosted at AMC Theaters at the Southdale mall, the event certainly brought out a good number of cars on top of the people just going to see the movie.  After helping my friend Jon install the suspension on his FB RX-7, a small group of us left from his house and rolled in about 9:40pm.  Since I used to be sponsored by NOS, I was able to get some VIP parking for the LS, Jon's RX-7, and Ivan's C30R right in front of the NOS tent.  It always helps to know people.  After snapping a few pics, I decided to put Kaien on and walk the lot.  He was very popular with the ladies.  After getting plenty of pics taken, it was time to just chill and catch up with people.  I decided to not go see the movie, so as everyone walked to the theaters, a few of us decided to head home.  I'm not looking forward to dealing with all the kids at work over the weekend.  Just part of the craze this movie franchise creates.  Enjoy the pics:

Boost for Boobies 2011

Saturday, April 23rd, brought about the annual Boost for Boobies event hosted by MAPerformance in Plymouth, MN.  For those that don't know, Boost for Boobies is a charity event to raise money and awareness for breast cancer.  The event consists of a dyno-day and car show with proceeds going to breast cancer research.  There was also food, t-shirts, as well as a raffle to help with donations.  The event always brings a good turnout, and despite the cloudy weather and rain in the morning, the event brought out hundreds of cars throughout the day.  I stopped by for a bit and participated in the car show with the LS400.  Here's a small glimpse of what comprised the show area;

My friend Andrew's absolutely nuts drift truck.  He has fabbed everything himself

That wraps up the photos.  Overall, the quality was pretty good.  There were plenty of cars in the show area and even more parked in the over-flow lots.  Thanks again to MAPerformance for hosting a great event.

The Two Gold Sedans

Met up with my partner-in-crime Jared of JaredLevinePhotography to grab some a few pics for i'mSTANCED. We're working hard on some things for the summer to help the Minnesota, and Midwest stance scene.  Stay tuned for more updates regarding events and meets.  Jared's Infiniti will be getting some work soon while the LS is sporting a subtle change that really helped the overall impact of the car.  For now, enjoy a few pics from the evening:

Cars & Cafe 4/2/11

Well, this weekend marked the first Cars & Cafe event of the year and despite the forecasts, the weather cooperated and the sun was out all day.  For this one, I rolled the LS400 out with a few other cars from i'mSTANCED, and we had a good showing.  Everyone was sporting new looks, and the cars went down a treat.  Overall, the gathering was small, but still a good turnout considering the roads still hadn't been washed clean of the winter salts, and the lineups were impressive.  Minneapolis Maserati brought out a few Bentley Continental GTs, a Maserati Quattroporte, and a Ferrari F430.  There was also a nice lineup of Porsches and Audis from their respective organizations.

Another "big" showing was Kaien.  Following up from my Spiderman escapade last year, I decided to put on a little show for the opener and bring Kaien out to check out the show.  Everyone got a kick out of it, including the little kids walking around.  Kaien even had a little fun with Tiesto, a malamute that was walking around.

After the show, me, the bf, and some friends went to Lions Tap for lunch, followed by a stop over at MAPerformance for a little open house.  It was a great day to kick off the season.
